25 years of Hyundai in Canada
Built exclusively off Tucson's front-drive trim level, The 25th Anniversary Edition model lets owners help Hyundai celebrate a quarter century in Canada with a deal on some extra add-on hardware. Included are a power sunroof, color-matched mirrors and a premium Kenwood sound system with in-dash navigation. Hyundai says it adds up to $2,500 worth of hardware for $1,000.
All Tucson models get heated front wipers, heated mirrors and 16-inch alloy wheels too- so the extras fit nicely on top of an already well equipped machine.
Styling: distinctive outside, forgettable inside
The tester included a polished exhaust tip, a tall stance and roof-rails for an adventurous and sporty look. It didn't include fog-lamps though- and the faux covers installed in their place help to ensure that everyone knows it. In all, Tucson is slightly rugged looking, but friendly and distinct from the outside. There's an update on the horizon if you disagree.
Inside, expect to find plenty of room, easy entry, good visibility and controls that are mostly concise and easy to find. You get a commanding view of the road from atop heated front seats, plenty of headroom and a solid, nicely assembled feel relative to the price.
