The Porsche that could be considered affordable has now received a complete makeover. Some will say that the revamp was long overdue but, as many say: "if it ain't broke, don't fix it". Well, 8 years after its initial launch, Porsche decided to refresh the inside and outside and improve performances.
The horizontally opposed 2.7L 6-cylinder remains as the base engine. It has received an increase in output to 240 hp from 225 hp. The "S" receives a 280 hp 3.2L H6. Known for impressive braking prowesses, Stuttgart has installed even larger discs on the 2005 Boxster. It is even possible to get fade-resistant ceramic brakes installed as an option.
