A total of 35,412 Jeep Wrangler SUVs from the 2007-2010 model years will be recalled in Canada to fix an airbag issue.

In dusty environments, particularly with the roof and doors removed, the clockspring assembly for the driver's airbag may become damaged and fail due to dust ingress. This could compromise the airbag circuit, which would result in the illumination of the airbag warning lamp and possible non-deployment of the driver's front airbag during a crash.

Jeep dealers will therefore replace the clockspring, wheel back cover, and column shroud with a design that will further reduce the amount of dirt/dust intrusion.
