For 2009, Bentley upgraded its Continental Flying Spur sedan lineup, which is already in its fourth year. In order to satisfy an increasingly demanding customer base, the company made a series of minor changes and improvements.

Up front are a new grille and larger air intakes in the lower part of the bumper, with the possibility of adding a chrome grille in between. Chrome is also used to outline the headlights. In the back, a few tweaks were applied. For instance, the taillights now feature a chrome surround.

In order to offer flawless comfort to the occupants of the new Flying Spur, the side and rear windows use soundproof glass. Further reducing interior noise are wheel well liners and new underbody fairings.

To improve the car's driving dynamics, engineers optimized the suspension settings while upgrading the shocks and springs. New stabilizer bars and 19-inch Pirelli tires have also been fitted.

Inside, buyers will be able to select an exclusive 1,100-watt Naim sound system with 15 speakers. According to Bentley, it delivers "the world's ultimate in-car audio experience!"

However, the biggest news at Bentley is undoubtedly the addition of a new Speed model which will enhance the athleticism of a car that's already very high-performing. For starters, power from the twin-turbo W12 engine goes from 560 to 610 ponies, while maximum torque is up by 15 percent (553 lb-ft) and available at only 1,750 rpm. As a result, the Continental Flying Spur Speed accelerates from 0 to 100 kph in 4.8 seconds and reaches a top speed of 322 kph!

Meanwhile, the self-leveling air suspension drops ride height by 10 millimeters. Stiffer shocks, springs and bushings have been fitted, along with thicker front and rear stabilizer bars. Pirelli P Zero performance tires are mounted on new 20-inch multispoke wheels. Moreover, a 'Dynamic' mode was included to allow a more progressive intervention of the electronic stability control system.
