Following its global premiere in Geneva earlier this month, the all-new Ford Focus RS is set to debut on U.S. soil at the 2015 New York Auto Show, which kicks off next week. It's the first model that will be produced for all markets at Ford’s Saarlouis, Germany, manufacturing plant beginning late this year, with sales in North America beginning in the spring of 2016.
The third-generation, high-performance hatchback features a 2.3L EcoBoost engine delivering well in excess of 315 horsepower, along with the most powerful Ford RS braking system ever, Ford Performance all-wheel drive with Dynamic Torque Vectoring, an industry-first drift mode, and a sport-tuned suspension with additional drive modes.
The cockpit of the Ford Focus RS offers a redesigned control layout, as well as an 8” capacitive touchscreen with SYNC 3 voice connectivity for audio, navigation, climate control and mobile phones.
Outside, available body colours include Nitrous Blue, Stealth Gray, Shadow Black, and Frozen White. Customers will also have a selection of 19” RS wheels to choose from including high-performance black alloy wheels.
