A Ford GT replica made of 40,000 small LEGO bricks will be showcased at Circuit de la Sarthe, in France, from June 18-19. It’s the LEGO version of the No. 66 Ford GT race car that will compete in the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
It took three full weeks and a whole lot of patience to complete the 1:3 scale model. You can watch the video below for more details.
Also on display in Le Mans will be a real-life copy of the classic Ford GT40 ― a reminder that it is 50 years since that car scored a historic 1-2-3 finish at the legendary race track. One of the drivers then was Bruce McLaren.
