November 14th and 15th are press days at the Los Angeles Auto Show, and carmakers will make at least 14 world debuts and nearly 30 North American debuts, show officials say.

Most manufacturers keep their new models a secret until the white sheet is pulled off, but this year, a few carmakers have let the cat out of the bag by announcing their plans.

According to Andy Fuzesi, the LA Auto Show general manager, it's all a matter of timing. "The show's new fall dates now make Los Angeles the first major North American stop of the auto show season, and as anticipated, manufacturers have taken advantage of this earlier timing by making more World and North American debuts than in previous years" he said.

The all new Nissan Murano will be on display, while Hyundai has announced the world premiere of a new sports car concept. Volkswagen's new mini-car concept will be on display too, and show goers can expect to see new hybrid editions of existing vehicles, or existing vehicles fitted with other forms of advanced technology.

If performance cars are your thing, you'll be happy to know that Jaguar is unveiling their new XF luxury performance sedan, while Mitsubishi and Subaru will certainly be drawing attention with their Evolution and STI models, respectively. Nissan's new GT-R supercar is also set to make an appearance.

The show runs Nov. 16 and runs through to Nov. 25, including Thanksgiving.
