Pros: The Mercedes-Benz M-Class features plenty of onboard class and luxury, as well as fuel efficiency and performance via a variety of models.
Cons: A brand new M-Class (to be called the GLE-Class from that point) is expected later in 2015 as a 2016 model, so this one will be “old” very soon.

Powertrain: As mentioned above, there are four different engines that sit in each of the four M-Class models offered by Mercedes-Benz.
In the ML 350 BlueTEC you’ll find a V6 turbo-diesel mill that produces 240 horsepower and 455 lb-ft of torque. A similar non-diesel V6 unit is found in the ML 400 4MATIC and is good for 329 horsepower and 354 lb-ft of torque. Move up to the ML 550 and you’re looking at a grunty and powerful V8 unit that produces 402 horsepower and 443 lb-ft of torque. And last but certainly not least is the ML 63 AMG that also features a twin-turbo V8 engine pushing out a fantastic 518 horsepower and nearly equal amount of torques (516).
Across the lineup, 4MATIC permanent all-wheel drive is featured, sending power to all four wheels, as well as a 7G-TRONIC 7-speed automatic transmission (save for the ML 63 AMG that features an AMG SPEEDSHIFT PLUS version).
Changes and Improvements: For the 2015, no major changes or improvements were made. 2016 will be the big year of change for the M-Class, so stay tuned!
Cargo Capacity: The 2015 Mercedes-Benz M-Class offers up space for five on board, as well as 690 litres of cargo space with all seats in place. Fold that rear bench down and that capacity changes to 2,010 litres.
