Following the launch of the all-new 2007 Sentra in Detroit last January, Japanese automaker Nissan is set to unveil its SE-R performance version, this time during the Los Angeles Auto Show, which opens on November 29.

Actually, there will be two new Sentras: the SE-R and SE-R Spec V. These cars will provide more power, performance and technology to sport compact enthusiasts. In fact, the Spec V model will be powered by a specifically designed high-output variant of Nissan's 2.5-liter DOHC 4-cylinder engine. We'll have to wait until the show to get any more info, however.

Nissan will also showcase another uniquely styled, exhilarating performance-oriented vehicle, reportedly marking the company's entry into a previously untapped customer segment. Again, to maintain a suspense, details on this second world debut are being withheld until Nissan's press conference on November 29.

In addition, Nissan will participate in the 2006 Hybrids and Green Cars/LA event that takes place during the media days of the LA Show. Attendees will have an opportunity to drive many advanced vehicles from various manufacturers. Nissan will submit three products, including the 2007 Altima Hybrid, the X-Trail Fuel Cell Vehicle and the 2007 Armada Flexible Fuel Vehicle.
