Ready for an avalanche of major new model launches? Our coverage of the 2017 Los Angeles Auto Show starts this week with the opening the AutoMobility LA event. Over the course of four days, 35 press conferences will take place and over 60 models will get their world or North American premieres.
The majority of American, Asian and European auto manufacturers will be present and active, presenting production models as well as futuristic concept cars. BMW, for one, has scheduled nine launches, including two global debuts. Other notable names on the reveal list include the Jeep Wrangler, INFINITI QX50, Lexus RX L, Mazda6, Mercedes-Benz CLS and Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo S E-Hybrid.
We’ll be learning more as well about the Audi A8, Hyundai Kona, Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross, Volvo XC40 and Toyota’s new hydrogen infrastructure project. Nissan will introduce its future technologies under the Star Wars theme, while brands like Chevrolet and Saleen will be pulling in the performance-minded crowd.
