Fans of luxury and grand touring convertibles are happy campers this week, with the global premiere of the new Aston Martin DB11 Volante.
Lighter, nimbler, more powerful and more rigid than its predecessor, it slides into the automaker’s lineup alongside the DB11 coupe, launched in 2016 to great acclaim by the automotive press around the world. The newest DB11 is powered by a 4.0L V8 turbo engine generating 503 hp.
We could go on describing the DB11 Volante at length, but we’ll leave the description to Andy Palmer, Aston Martin President and Chief Executive Officer, and invite you to discover the new model in full glorious action in a video from the luxury automaker.
“For many of our customers, indeed many generations of Aston Martin customer, the Volante has always offered something very special: a unique combination of elegant style, innate sporting ability and sensory engagement that lifts it above other open-top cars. The new DB11 Volante captures those qualities perfectly and promises the kind of pleasure and enjoyment that can only come from driving an open-top Aston Martin”.
