General Motors presented the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro to the media today at the Montreal show. The modern-day pony car will be on sale this spring in 5 different trim levels, ranging from the base, 300-hp LS to the pavement-scorching, 422-hp 2SS.

Also on display is the 2010 Buick Allure, which made its world debut at the Detroit show earlier this week. The Allure is new from the ground up and will feature available all-wheel drive and a choice of two V6 engines: a 255-hp, 3.0-litre or a 280-hp, 3.6-litre unit. More upscale and hosting a bunch of modern comfort and convenience features, the new Allure seeks to gain a wider audience.

GM's full-size pickups are now available with hybrid powertrains. The Silverado and Sierra both get the Two-Mode 6.0-litre V8 and electric motor combo that's currently offered in the Tahoe and Yukon SUVs. GM claims a 32-percent improvement in fuel consumption in the 2WD models, and yet the pickups still offer a 6,100-lb (2,767-kg) towing capacity. The Silverado and Sierra hybrids start at $46,725.

The Saturn Vue will also get a Two-Mode hybrid powertrain this year, which consists of GM's 3.6-litre V6 mated to an electric motor. Producing 262 horsepower and 250 lb-ft of torque, the company claims the new hybrid Vue as being the world's most fuel-efficient V6 SUV. Fuel consumption is said to be 50-percent less than in the regular Vue V6 models.
