Acura has revealed the all-new 2016 RDX compact crossover at the 2015 Chicago Auto Show, offering several key upgrades to performance, luxury, and styling.
The 2016 Acura RDX gets an important performance boost courtesy of its new 3.5L SOHC i-VTEC V6 engine with Variable Cylinder Management. Peak horsepower is up to 279 hp (+6), while max torque is up to 252 lb-ft (+1).
Outside, the new RDX sports restyled front and rear fasciae, Acura's signature Jewel Eye LED headlights, LED taillights with light-pipe design, and new wheel designs on all models.
Available features with the 2016 Acura RDX include rain-sensing wipers, cooled front seats, fog lights, and Acura navigation with voice recognition. In addition, all RDX models can now be equipped with the AcuraWatch suite of advanced safety and driver-assist technologies including Lane Departure Warning, Adaptive Cruise Control, Collision Mitigation Braking System, and Lane Keeping Assist.
The 2016 Acura RDX will arrive at U.S. dealerships this spring before making its way to Canada. Pricing will be announced in a few weeks.
