The ninth DTM round at the Hockenheimring in Hockenheim, Germany will be held October 17th at a track layout that will be shorter by 20 percent.

In a little bit less than seven weeks, the Hockenheimring Baden-Württemberg will host the grand German finale of the 2010 DTM season.

Even though two more championship rounds will be held after this event this season, fans in Germany can look forward to a spectacular event at Hockenheim.

Especially for this event, the circuit management will get the necessary reconstruction underway and will seek for approval by the German motorsport authority DMSB.

With this track layout, the hairpin of the Grand Prix circuit will be left out and the DTM cars will take two sharp right-hand corners some 400 metres earlier to turn into the Motodrom section.

After this race, the DTM series will move to Adria and then Shanghai, China.

The next race will be stage on the short, club circuit of Brands Hatch, UK.
