The prestigious Scuderia Ferrari began racing in the Formula 1 World Champion 60 years ago at the Grand Prix of Monaco in 1950. At last weekend’s Grand Prix of Turkey, the Maranello-based F1 team contested its 800th F1 event.

The gorgeous illustration seen here, produced by Publico.es, shows the evolution of all Ferrari F1 cars though the years, from 1950 to 2010.

The most noticeable modifications include the switch from a front to a rear engine, the change from narrow treaded tires to wide slicks and the introduction of front and rear wings in the late ‘60s.

We must also note the increase in power of the engines from 260 (F125 of 1950) to 815 horsepower in the F10 of 2010!

During its 60 years in F1, Ferrari has collected 15 Drivers titles and 16 Constructors titles, has captured 211 wins, 203 pole positions, 220 fastest laps, 632 podiums, 80 one-two sweeps, and has scored 4239.5 points and has raced a total distance of 469,200 km!
