The FIA has confirmed the location of the single DRS zone for the Grand Prix of Germany held this weekend at the Hockenheimring.
The Drag Reduction System zone for Sunday’s Grand Prix will be on the straight leading to the Spitzkehre hairpin, Corner 4 on our map.
As Hockenheim was not on the calendar last year (the German Grand Prix was held at the Nurburgring in 2011) this will be the first time DRS is used at the circuit.
The detection point for the zone (in blue) is at the exit of the preceding Corner 3. Drivers will be able activate DRS 260m after exiting that corner (in green).
