Oh yes! The 500 was long awaited, sure, but it's always the performance version of any car that is always the most anticipated.
Enter the 500 Abarth. This is the M, the AMG, the RS of Fiats with one subtle difference: it's got 135 hp and not 560...
It's all about power-to-weight ratio and the 500 don't got much weight to lug around. The turbocharged 1.4L 4-pot also produces 152 lb-ft of torque.
With a 5-speed manual gearbox, the powertrain should be good enough to push the Abarth to 100 km/h in 7.9 seconds and to a top speed of 205 km/h.
The Abarth will make its North American debut at this upcoming L.A. Auto Show.
