Not too long ago, many automotive specialists had predicted the end of the big American-style car. For a short while, it seemed as though this was the case. However, big cars like the Ford Crown Victoria (fleet only) / Mercury Grand Marquis never really went away. Likewise, other cars such as the Toyota Avalon kept on getting bigger. A couple of years ago, the Koreans decided to introduce their version of the "American car". The Kia Amanti landed on the shores of North America for the first time in 2004. This car was meant to showcase the know-how of the Korean maker and created to be a low cost alternative to the Buicks, Fords and Chryslers. It seems as though many manufacturers are getting back in the race of the full-size car. The Kia however, has one decidingly important advantage: price.
