Auto123.com has learned that a press conference is scheduled next week in Phoenix to confirm that Danica Patrick and long-time personal sponsor GoDaddy.com will announce their NASCAR plans for 2012.
As we had already revealed some time ago, the Andretti Autosport driver will likely run a full season in the NASCAR Nationwide Series for JR Motorsports and a partial schedule in the Sprint Cup Series in 2012 with cars fielded by Stewart-Haas Racing.
According to that plan, Patrick would probably be moving to a full-time ride in the Cup Series in 2013.
It is more than likely that she won’t be able to participate in the 2012 Indianapolis 500; both the Nationwide and Sprint Cup series having races at Charlotte Motor Speedway in May.
