Mazda used the 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show to introduce the refreshed 2016 CX-5, which sports a number of design tweaks including a revised front grille and higher-grade materials.
Under the hood, 2.0L and 2.5L SKYACTIV-G engines are available along with 6-speed manual and automatic transmissions (the latter offers a drive mode selector). All-wheel drive is still optional.
The 2016 Mazda CX-5 benefits from other updates aimed at delivering a more pleasant ride, reducing noise, improving fuel economy (2.5L FWD models), and maximizing storage.
There's also a new MazdaConnect infotainment system and i-ACTIVSENSE safety package, which includes Blind Spot Monitoring (BSM), Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA), Mazda Radar Cruise Control (MRCC), and Smart Brake Support (SBS).
The refreshed CX-5 continues to offer a black or white leather interior, as well as a black fabric interior. Leather interior choices include a new Parchment leather offering.
