Kia chose Los Angeles for the North American debut of the all-new 2016 Sorento. Inspired by the Cross GT concept introduced at the 2013 Chicago Auto Show, the redesigned crossover is larger than its predecessor and still available in 5- and 7-passenger configurations.
The 2016 Kia Sorento will offer five trim levels (L, LX, EX, SX, and SXL) in addition to three engines including a 2.4L unit, a 2.0L turbo, and a 3.3L V6.
The aggressively styled front end, with its narrower headlight design, bears a strong family resemblance to the all-new Sedona minivan, while the long hood improves aerodynamics. Inside, there are premium textures and high-quality materials throughout. Optionally, buyers can enjoy heated and ventilated front seats (with 14-way power adjustment for the driver and 8-way power adjustment for the passenger), heated rear seats, Kia’s second-generation panoramic sunroof, as well as premium Nappa leather trim seating surfaces.
Moreover, the 2016 Kia Sorento offers four additional UVO eServices including Geo-fencing, Speed Alert, Curfew Alert, and Driving Score.
Look for it to arrive in showrooms during the first quarter of 2015 at a price that will be determined shortly.
