The G6, the Grand Am's replacement is already available. Last summer, the coupe arrived in dealerships and as of this spring, a convertible version will poke its head in showrooms. Similarly to the sedan and the coupe, the G6 convertible will receive the 3.5L V6 engine that puts out 200 hp. As well, a GTP version will be offered and it will have 3.9L V6, this time developing 240 hp. The GTP will be available with either a 6-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic with manual mode transmissions. This drop-top sports a retractable hardtop similar to those found on many Mercedes-Benz products.
