The new Batmobile that will star in the highly anticipated Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice movie (to hit theatres on March 25th, 2016), has finally arrived at Warner Bros. Studios, blowing the mind of the lucky crowd taking part in the Studio Tour.
With post-apocalyptic looks that seem to come straight from the latest Mad Max flick, this fearsome Batmobile will appeal to a ton of younger fans while possibly upsetting some purists. It’s a far cry from Adam West’s car, that’s for sure! The world of automobiles is constantly evolving, so it only makes sense that the Batman franchise not only keeps up with the times, but gets ahead of the curve.
According to MSN, the new Batmobile is fully armoured and equipped with a stealth mode, three 50-calibre rifles, and an active shield. It weighs more than three tons (about 7,000 lbs). Outrageous power comes from an unmatched hybrid of prototype military and civilian performance technologies, allowing the machine to reach speeds of up to 330 km/h.
