At this week’s Los Angeles Auto Show, Nissan will be presenting two world premieres, including the Rogue One Star Wars, as well as introducing the Black Pearl special edition of the Juke and the all-new 2017 Versa Note.
Some may recall the name Black Pearl in conjunction with Nissan, and in fact the carmaker had originally used it for a special edition of the 280Z back in 1978. This SUV, which will be limited to 250 units available for Canada, features a distinctive all-black exterior accented with white on the doors, bumpers and headlamp contours. Black is also predominant in the cabin, where it is contrasted by the white console and door inserts.
First its part, the 2017 Nissan Versa Note sports somewhat revised styling, notably due to the famed V-shaped grille already found on other models by the manufacturer. It will feature the same 1.6L, 4-cylinder engine twinned with an Xtronic automatic or 5-speed manual transmission and could include fog lights, 15- or 16-inch wheels, voice recognition navigation and more.
