From June 21st until September 11th 2011, those visiting the Museum in Stuttgart will get to dabble in and experience some of the great Ferdinand Porsche's engineering feats from way back, right up to his impressive undertakings in the 21st Century.
The 80-year milestone refers to the time when Porsche set up his office in Stuttgart back in 1931. In those eight decades, Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG developed not only entire vehicles but many an engine and transmission.
For those more in tune with recent car history, you'll find some extraordinary examples of some cars that Porsche had a hand in tuning such as the very rare and highly desirable Mercedes-Benz 500E, which was produced between 1990 and 1995 in Porsche’s Zuffenhausen plant.
Once you've done the tour, take a quick look through the glass into the Museum Workshop where all these wonderful cars are worked on and maintained.
