Subaru held the world premiere of the VIZIV Future concept at the 2015 Tokyo Auto Show this week, along with the WRX STI S207 limited-edition model and the Impreza 5-Door Concept.
Following the VIZIV and VIZIV 2 concepts from 2013-2014, the VIZIV Future gives substance to Subaru’s future vision by incorporating automatic driving functions and other advanced safety technology. It embodies the “enjoyment and peace of mind” Subaru wants to provide to customers.
Using a hybrid power unit consisting of a rear electric motor and a small turbocharged gasoline engine up front (derived from the Levorg concept), the VIZIV Future employs Subaru’s EyeSight, a navigation system, automatic parking, and various sensors designed to avoid collisions with other vehicles, cyclists or pedestrians.
As a three-row crossover, could this be the replacement for the late Tribeca? Stay tuned…
