As car fanatics, it is next to impossible to ignore the culture of the Hot Rod. Nearly 85 years old, this movement is one that will likely never end; as long as there are ways to make cars go faster, it will exist.
As technology moves forward, hot rodding cars is becoming a cleaner hobby what with plug-and-play ways to get more power out of engines. Many still drop large engines into small-ish cars, but the art of exaggeration is slowly disappearing. Modern Hot Rods are mostly of the restomod type where old cars maintain their original overall look but receive a number of important upgrades, typically to the suspension and brakes. Engines may also get modern ignition systems or more.
