First unveiled in a world premiere at the end of summer, the all-new 2019 Volvo XC40 small SUV made its North American debut this week at AutoMobility LA before the official opening of the 2017 Los Angeles Auto Show.
Positioned below the award-winning XC90 and XC60, the XC40 looks like it will set new benchmarks for safety, design and connectivity in its own segment. We’ve already reported about its attractive features and prices, offered you a virtual guided tour and explored its design further with a video and interview with the XC40’s lead designer.
In Los Angeles, Volvo had some good news to share with Canadian customers: Care by Volvo, the brand’s new all-inclusive, negotiation-free subscription service, has been confirmed for Canada.
Basically, Volvo is reinventing the traditional way owners access and manage their car. You can sign up for the service for a period of 24 months and not have to deal with other usual costs, for example insurance and maintenance. Vehicles can be shared with friends or family members remotely thanks to new digital-key technology. In certain areas in Canada, valets can take care of refueling or cleaning the car, bringing it in for service or even delivering e-commerce purchases to it.
Care by Volvo will debut with the 2019 Volvo XC40 when the vehicle arrives in showrooms next spring. Orders are currently being accepted at Volvo retailers and online.
