The Mi-Jack Conquest Racing Team had once again a good and yet disappointing race. source: conquestracing.com Second-year driver Andrew Ranger was able to move up from his 13th spot on the grid to take the checkered flag in sixth place at the Grand Prix of Houston but rookie Charles Zwolsman, who was running well in seventh at the time, saw his day end on lap 69 due to contact with Will Power. Canadian driver, Andrew Ranger, who once again picked up the point for gaining the most positions during the race, fought hard making his way into the top six. His second sixth place finish in a row, puts him fourth in the Championship standings with a total of 40 points. "It was a pretty difficult weekend for us, but the car was getting better each time we went out and I was more and more comfortable in it," said Ranger. "We made some changes on the car and during the warm up this afternoon the car was perfect for me. Then for the night race, with the change in the conditions I had a lot of oversteer on the car which made it hard to drive, but overall I am very happy with sixth place and I am currently fourth in the Championship so that is really good." Ranger's teammate at Conquest Racing, Dutchman Charles Zwolsman, was putting in a strong performance in his #34 GoldenPalace.com Casino car - which international television viewers were able to see - when an incident with Australian Will Power put an end to what was turning out to be a promising race for the Conquest rookie driver. "The race was going pretty good, we picked up positions and had some good fights with Nelson and AJ. We were running consistently but following my final pit stop I was coming down the front straight when Will Power was coming out of the pits. I had a lot more speed then he did. Going into turn 1 he locked up his wheels so I went inside of him but then he turned in on me and that's how I ended up in the wall," explained Zwolsman. "It's a disappointing way to end the race, especially since we were running well and could have got a good result."
