A team with road coarse experience

Both Alex Barron and Patrick Carpentier began their racing careers in karting and progressed through various series that raced primarily on road courses. As a result of their experience, both drivers ran well at the IndyCar Series' inaugural street race in St. Petersburg. In this event, Carpentier placed 8th after spinning late in the race, while Barron came in 10th. In addition, both drivers participated in the open test at Infineon in April and turned in solid results. The team has been a model for consistency so far this season, placing in the top 10 in nine of 13 races. Carpentier leads the team with eight top 10s, including two third-place finishes (Richmond and Nashville). Barron also has placed in the top 10 on five occasions this season. Carpentier has shown the team's reliability this season by completing more laps than any other driver in the series (2542). For Barron, coming to Infineon will be special, as it's his first trip back to his home state this season. The Menifee, Calif. native is the only driver in the series who was born and currently lives in California. The team's take on Infineon Raceway "I've been looking forward to racing on this circuit all year. It's a great coarse with lots of elevation changes. The layout might make it hard to pass, but there's going to be one main passing zone at the 180 at the top of the hill. It's going to be a great place for fans to watch the race. If you're on top of the hill, you can see the whole track. The test went well in the spring, so I think we'll be able to build upon what we learned and come up with solid results. Since this is the one of the few times this season that we're racing in my home state, I'm going to have quite a few family and friends in attendance, so I'm hoping to put on a good show for them." - Alex Barron
