Last year, I followed the "silly season" for the first time in an intensive

Quickly, I was captivated by this phenomenon. Each day, I hastened to consult
Internet sites in order to see the last developments and to know the drivers and
teams of the next season. But what is the silly season? Some know it well but
many have no idea of its existence. It begins at the end of the season. You
create a table to show the available places and who are the candidates for these
seats. Then, until the last test before the beginning of the next season, you
follow rumors continuously until you know who will drive in the next season. On
the other hand, there is a counterpart to that. Certain pundits forward any kind
of rumor based on speculation, of which 99%, turn out to be false. Therefore, it
becomes rather complicated to follow and that is why the whole is called the
silly season.
This year, with the assistance of Serge, a pro of the silly season, I will
paint you an entire portrait of the situation through several articles. You will
find in this chronicle, as well the confirmed news and speculative rumors with
different levels of possibility. After having read these chronicles, you will
know the rides available and the possible candidates. But it is not all. You
will have a description of each element. (i.e., a description of the rumored
seat and the driver) It is clear that Wirdheim is the principal candidate for
the second seat at Patrick Racing. But unless you follow F3000 in Europe, you
probably do not have any idea who he is and if he is a good driver. Thus, while
following this series of articles, you will be able to follow and understand the
silly season 2003-2004.
