After returning to Indianapolis on Monday morning from Portland, Mi-Jack Conquest Racing will quickly turn around and head back on the road for this weekend's Grand Prix of Cleveland presented by US Bank for round five of the Champ Car World Series with drivers Nelson Philippe and rookie Andrew Ranger
source: Mi-Jack Conquest Racing Philippe and Ranger both overcame setbacks during the Portland event to finish the race, with Philippe shaking off a twisted ankle and Ranger storming back from a stall in the pits to finish twelfth and seventh, respectively. The Cleveland track is very unique in the sport, as it normally serves duty 362 days a year as Burke Lakefront Airport adjacent to the shores of Lake Erie, but will be converted into a 2.106-mile temporary street circuit for the twenty-fourth year running. Nelson Philippe, who led a race-high twenty-three laps in Monterrey in his Wellbox /Mi-Jack Conquest car, is hoping that his ankle will be healed for this weekend's race, because he has raced at Burke before and he loves the setting as well as the high-speed nature of the track. "I enjoy the track in Cleveland, it's big, very fast and again we are going to a very physically demanding track," said Philippe. "I hope I will be felling better with my right foot. It's beautiful to race at the airport, you see the whole track and the boats by the water, it's quite unique."
